Abstract. Basically humans have an instinct to behave prosocially, but sometimes it doesn’t arise due to various factors. This modern era makes whatever we wants instantly fulfilled without evolving each other, so the chances to act coperatively are slighter. People tends to be self-centered and less attention to another. Despite, in Bandung there’s community called KNB. This community actively initiating online and offline activities to help the elderly whose live in difficulties. The members said that their helpful behavior was a realization of their grateful feeling for all the pleasures God had given. This study uses a correlational method that aims to see the closeness between gratitude and prosocial behavior in 26 active members of the KNB Community. The measurement instrument constructed based on the concept of McCollugh et al. (2002) for gratitude and Eisenberg & Mussen (2003) for prosocial. The results showed that there was a positive relationship with moderate closeness between gratitude and prosocial for the KNB Community members, seen from the value (r) = +0,350. This means that if the gratitude variable increases, it will be followed by the increase of prosocial variables. However, value (p) = 0.082 means the relationship isn’t significant.Keywords: Comunity, Gratitude, ProsocialAbstrak. Pada dasarnya manusia memiliki insting untuk berperilaku prososial. Namun, adakalanya perilaku tersebut tidak muncul karena berbagai faktor. Era modern membuat apapun yang diinginkan terpenuhi secara instan tanpa perlu melibatkan bantuan orang lain, sehingga peluang bekerjasama pun semakin menipis. Akhirnya, masyarakat menjadi cenderung egosentris, dan kurang peduli dengan lingkungan sekitarnya. Berbeda dengan fenomena tersebut, di Bandung terdapat sebuah komunitas yang bernama KNB. Komunitas tersebut giat menginisiasi aktivitas online dan offline untuk membantu para lansia yang hidup di tengah kesulitan. Para anggota mengatakan bahwa perilaku menolong yang mereka lakukan merupakan salah satu bentuk dari rasa berterimakasih mereka terhadap segala kenikmatan yang telah Tuhan berikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode korelasional yang bertujuan untuk melihat keeratan hubungan antara gratitude dengan perilaku prososial pada 26 orang anggota aktif Komunitas KNB. Alat ukur yang digunakan merupakan alat ukur yang dikonstruksikan berdasarkan konsep McCollugh dkk. (2002) untuk gratitude dan Eisenberg & Mussen (2003) untuk prososial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif dengan keeratan sedang antara gratitude dengan prososial pada anggota Komunitas KNB dilihat dari nilai (r) = +0,350. Artinya apabila variabel gratitude meningkat, maka akan disertai oleh meningkatnya variabel prososial. Namun, hubungan yang terjadi tidak signifikan karena nilai (p) = 0,082.Kata Kunci: Komunitas, Gratitude, Prososial |
