SDN Putraco Indah Bandung is an inclusion school has more ABK students than normal number of students in each school. The school is also supported by helper or guardian teachers. There are 11 teachers that most of them without disability education background. Every teacher must handle all ABK and normal students in a classroom. This condition make the teachers depressed and stressful. The teachers are required to overcome somethings that make them stressful in school. All efforts to overcome their stressful state is coping startegy. Coping strategy is influenced by many factors, one of them is personality characteristic, that is hardiness. Hardiness is a teachers effort to overcome and adjust themselves with the stressful situation. The objective of this study is to descibe the correlation between hardiness and coping strategy. The instruemnt used is hardiness scale of Suzanne (Kobasa) Ouellete (1984) and Ways Of Coping; The Revised Version of Lazarus & Folkman (1984). This is correlational study with 11 teachers of SDN Putraco Indah as the sample. The results show that there is a significant correlation between hardiness and coping strategy (x2calculatin = 17,750 dan C = 0,637). 7 of 11 teachers have high hardiness that 6 of them using problem focused coping and one of them using positive emotion focused coping. And 4 teachers have low hardiness and one them uses problem focused coping. |

SDN Putraco Indah Bandung merupakan sekolah inklusi yang memiliki jumlah siswa ABK yang lebih banyak dari jumlah siswa normalnya. Hal ini tidak didukung pula dengan tenaga pengajar seperti helper atau guru pendamping. Di sekolah tersebut terdapat 11 guru dengan latar belakang pendidikan yang sebagian besar bukan dari pendidikan luar biasa. Dalam satu kelas guru harus menangani seluruh siswa ABK dengan siswa normal. Kondisi-kondisi tersebut menyebabkan para guru merasa frustasi hingga menimbulkan stres. Para guru dituntut untuk mengatasi kondisi yang membuat stres pada saat di sekolah. Upaya yang dilakukan para guru tersebut merupakan coping strategy. Untuk melakukan coping strategy dipengaruhi beberapa faktor salah satunya karakteristik kepribadian yaitu hardiness. Hardiness akan mempengaruhi upaya para guru dalam mengatasi dan menyesuaikan diri dengan keadaan yang membebabninya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mendapatkan hubungan antara hardiness dengan coping strategy. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Skala hardiness dari Suzanne (Kobasa) Ouellete (1984) dan Ways Of Coping The Revised Version dari Lazarus & Folkman (1984). Metode yang digunakan adalah korelasi dengan subjek penelitian 11 guru di SDN Putraco Indah. Hasil pengolahan data menunjukan bahwa ada korelasi yang signifikan antara hardiness dengan coping strategy (x2hitung = 17,750 dan C = 0,637). Dari 11 guru, 7 guru memiliki hardiness yang tinggi yang terdiri dari 6 guru menggunakan problem focused coping dan 1 guru menggunakan emotion focused coping positif. Sedangkan, 4 guru yang memiliki hardiness rendah yang menggunakan problem focused coping terdiri dari 1 guru. |
