Divorce, of course, has a negative impact to children on the psychological condition, such as children feeling depressed, sad and disappointed. Sometimes, they express their feelings by behaving negatively. But not all children with divorced parents do the same thing but there are children who choose to join in Broken Home Community Bandung. Children who join in this community can sharing their problem with all members, gives support to each other, find solutions to problems and give motivation to members or hold social service activities. By join in this community, children get strength to survive and be a better person. The purpose of this study was to see how closely the relationship between social support and resilience to individual divorce victims in the Broken Home Community Bandung amounted 30 people. The measuring instrument used a social support variables using the Social Support Questionnaire (SSQ), compiled by Sarason, Levine, Basham and Sarason (1983), and a measuring tool for resilience variables derived by Benard (2004). Data processing used Rank Spearman correlation test. The results of this study are a close relationship between social support and resilience, there is a moderate relationship between social support aspects of perceived availability of social support and resilience and there is a close relationship between social support aspects of satisfaction with social support with resilience in children victims of divorce in Broken Home Bandung. |
