Abstract. Buni fruit (Antidesma bunius L. Spreng) which has low economic value has the potential to be used as a natural dye because it has an attractive color derived from anthocyanin. In this study, buni fruit was used as a natural dye in lip cream preparations. The base of lip cream optimization was carried out by varying the concentration of thickener in the form of beeswax and carnauba wax. Base optimization results showed that the single with a concentration of 7.5% had the best results. The selected base is formulated in the preparation of lip cream with the addition of buni fruit extract by 8%, 12%, and 16%. The resulting lip cream preparation has the form of a thick liquid, pale pink to thick, and smells of wax. The preparation has good homogeneity and the pH produced is in accordance with the physiological pH of the skin and the pH of the preparation on the market, and has good stability at storage conditions at room temperature (24 ° C), but is not stable at high temperature storage (40 ° C) during 14 days. Based on the spread test and preference test, the selected preparation is a formula with an extract concentration of 16%.Keywords: Lip cream, buni fruit, natural dyes, antioxidants. Abstrak. Pada penelitian ini, buah buni dimanfaatkan sebagai pewarna alami dalam sediaan lip cream. Optimasi basis lip cream dilakukan dengan memvariasikan konsentrasi thickener berupa beeswax dan carnauba wax. Hasil optimasi basis menunjukkan beeswax tunggal dengan konsentrasi 7,5% memiliki hasil yang paling baik. Basis terpilih diformulasikan dalam sediaan lip cream dengan penambahan ekstrak buah buni sebesar 8%, 12%, dan 16%. Sediaan lip cream yang dihasilkan memiliki bentuk berupa cairan kental, warna merah muda pucat hingga pekat, dan berbau lilin. Sediaan tersebut memiliki homogenitas yang baik dan pH yang dihasilkan sesuai dengan pH fisiologis kulit dan pH sediaan di pasaran, serta memiliki stabilitas yang baik pada kondisi penyimpanan suhu ruang (24 °C), namun tidak stabil pada penyimpanan suhu tinggi (40 °C) selama 14 hari.
