Abstract. General Election is one indicator that the country's democracy has been going well. General elections are a means of implementing the sovereignty of the Indonesian people every 5 years. For politicians, having skills verbally is the main requirement to be able to attract the sympathy of his listeners if he campaigns, express thoughts well and be able to persuade people who are expected to support him as a presidential candidate. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between credibility and the attitude of the novice voters in the city of Bandung. The research method used is quantitative research with a correlational approach. The results of the study concluded that there was a relationship between the credibility of presidential candidates 01 Ir. H Joko Widodo with the attitude of beginner voters. From inferential analysis can be seen between the credibility (X) of presidential candidates with the attitude (Y) of the beginner voters have a strong relationship. Because of the positive correlation value, it means that if the credibility in a candidate is good then the attitude of the beginner voters will also be good, that is the beginner voters will choose a presidential candidate who has good credibility.Keywords : Credibility, communicator, presidential candidates, attitude of beginner votersAbstrak. Pemilihan Umum menjadi salah satu indikator bahwa demokrasi negara telah berjalan dengan baik. Pemilihan umum merupakan sarana pelaksanaan kedaulatan rakyat Indonesia setiap 5 tahun. Bagi politisi, memiliki keterampilan secara lisan merupakan persyaratan utama untuk mampu menarik simpati pendengarnya jika ia berkampanye, mengemukakan pikiran-pikiran dengan baik serta mampu melakukan persuasi kepada orang-orang yang diharapkan memberi dukungan kepada dirinya sebagai kandidat presiden. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hungan antara kredibilitas dengan sikap pemilih pemula di kota bandung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasional. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara kredibilitas kandidat presiden 01 Ir. H Joko Widodo dengan sikap pemilih pemula. Dari analisis inferensial dapat diketahui antara Kredibilitas (X) kandidat presiden dengan Sikap (Y) pemilih pemula memiliki hubungan yang kuat. Karena nilai korelasi positif, artinya jika kredibilitas yang ada di dalam diri seorang kandidat baik maka sikap pemilih pemula akan juga akan baik, yaitu pemilih pemula akan memilih kandidat presiden yang mempunyai kredibilitas yang baik.Kata Kunci: kredibilitas, komunikator, kandidat presiden, sikap pemilih pemula. |
