Abstract. At this time the public confidence in the public accounting profession began to decrease this is due to the number of cases of manipulation of accounting, public accountant position is also being questioned. This study aims to determine the effect of competence and independence with leadership style to the performance of the auditor. The population in this study is the auditor who worked on the public accounting firm in the city. The sample study using convenience sampling method. The data used in this study is that the data primary questionnaire submitted directly to the auditor by the researchers as much as 50 questionnaires, which can be processed again and as much as 42 questionnaires. Test equipment used to analyze the data is multiple regression analysis using SPSS. These results indicate that (1) competence and significant influence on the performance of auditors (2) the independence commitment and significant effect on the performance of auditors (3) leadership style and significant influence on the performance of auditors (4) competence and independence with leadership style simultaneous influence on the performance of the auditor. Pada saat ini kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap profesi akuntan publik mulai berkurang hal ini disebabkan dengan banyaknya kasus manipulasi akuntansi, posisi akuntan publik juga mulai dipertanyakan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kompetensi dan independensi serta gaya kepemimpinan terhadap kinerja auditor. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah auditor yang bekerja pada Kantor Akuntan Publik di kota Bandung. Sampel penelitian menggunakan metode convenience sampling. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data primer yaitu kuesioner yang disampaikan secara langsung kepada auditor oleh peneliti sebanyak 50 kuesioner, yang kembali dan dapat diolah sebanyak 42 kuesioner. Alat uji yang digunakan untuk menganalisis data adalah analisis regresi berganda dengan menggunakan program SPSS. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) kompetensi berpengaruh dan signifikan terhadap kinerja auditor (2) independensi berpengaruh dan signifikan terhadap kinerja auditor (3) gaya kepemimpinan berpengaruh dan signifikan terhadap kinerja auditor (4) kompetensi dan independensi serta gaya kepemimpinan berpengaruh secara simultan terhadap kinerja auditor Kata Kunci : Kompetensi, Independensi, Gaya Kepemimpinan, Kinerja Auditor |
