Abstract. This study aims to determine the differences between the performance of conventional stock mutual funds and the performance sharia stock mutual funds using the jensen index method and measure square ratio. This type of research is a comparative research. The data used are secondary data obtained from publication reports of the Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK) and Bank Indonesia from 2014 to 2017. Mutual fund performance is compared to the benchmark of the Composite Stock Price Index (CSPI) for conventional mutual funds, while the Index Saham Syariah Indonesia (ISSI) is compared for Islamic stock mutual funds. So that it can be clear whether mutual funds are better or worse compared to market performance.The sample selection was determined by purposive sampling technique with the criteria of shares being used as conventional shares and sharia shares. The mutual fund samples used were 8 conventional stock mutual funds and 8 sharia stock mutual funds. The analytical method used is two different test methods on average independent sample t-test with the IBM SPSS 16 program using the jensen index method and measure square ratio to rank the best stock mutual funds.The results of the study using alpha (α) 10% show there are differences regarding the performance of conventional stock mutual funds with the performance of sharia stock mutual funds if measured by the jensen index method and measure square ratio. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan terhadap kinerja reksadana saham konvensional dan kinerja reksadana saham syariah dengan menggunakan metode indeks jensen dan measure square ratio. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian komparatif. Data yang digunakan adalah data skunder yang diperoleh dari laporan publikasi di Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK) dan Bank Indonesia periode 2014 sampai 2017. Perbandingan kinerja reksadana dibandingkan dengan tolak ukur nya Indeks Harga Saham Gabungan (IHSG) untuk reksadana saham konvesional, sedangkan Indeks Saham Syariah Indonesia (ISSI) untuk reksadana saham syariah. Sehingga dapat mengetahui apakah reksa dana lebih baik atau buruk dibandingka dengan kinerja pasarnya.Pemilihan sampel ditentukan dengan teknik purposive sampling dengan kriteria saham yang dijadikan saham konvesional dan saham syariah. Sample reksadana yang digunakan sebanyak 8 reksadana saham konvesnional dan 8 reksadana saham syariah. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah metode uji beda dua rata-rata independent sample t –test dengan program IBM SPSS 16 dengan menggunakan metode indeks jensen dan measure square ratio untuk menentukan peringkat reksadana saham yang terbaik.Hasil dari penelitian menggunakan alpha 10% menunjukan terdapat perbedaan mengenai kinerja reksadana saham konvensional dengan kinerja reksadana saham syariah jika diukur dengan indeks jensen dan measure square ratio.
