Abstract. Lemon juice is one of the traditional medicines in Indonesia which is still often used for the treatment of pharyngitis. Lemon fruit that is widespread in Indonesia has 2 types, local and import lemons. The purpose of this study was to determine the comparison of the antibacterial effect, Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) and Minimum Kill Concentration (MKC) of local and imported lemon juice feeling water against Streptococcus pyogenes bacteria which is the most common bacteria that causes pharyngitis. This research was conducted by laboratory experimental methods. Antibacterial test was carried out by diffusion and dilution methods, the data obtained was then processed by statistical tests using Shapiro-Wilk test, Kruskal-Walis and Mann-Whiteney to see a significant difference between the two local and import lemon treatments. The results of the antibacterial test using the diffusion method showed that the average inhibition zone of the local lemon juice was 12.81 mm while the imported lemon was 9.78 mm. The results of the test with the dilution method obtained the MIC ratio of local lemons at a concentration of 3.125% while imported lemons at a concentration of 6.125%, MKC at a local lemon at a concentration of 3.125% while imported lemons at 6.25%. The analysis test results showed a significant difference in both local and imported lemons p = 0.029. This research shows that the juice of local lemon is better to inhibit Streptococcus pyogenes than imported lemon juice.Keywords : Antibacterial Effect, Local lemon juice, Import lemon juice, Streptococcus pyogenes.Abstrak.Air perasan buah lemon merupakan salah satu obat tradisional di Indonesia yang masih sering digunakan untuk pengobatan faringitis. Buah lemon yang tersebar luas di Indonesia memiliki 2 jenis yaitu buah lemon lokal dan impor. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbandingan efek antibakteri, Konsentrasi Hambat Minimum (KHM) dan Konsentrasi Bunuh Minimum (KBM) air perasaan buah lemon lokal dan impor terhadap bakteri Streptococcus pyogenes yang merupakan bakteri tersering penyebab faringitis. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode eksperimental laboratorik. Uji antibakteri dilakukan dengan metode difusi dan dilusi, data yang didapat kemudian diolah dengan uji statistik menggunakan uji Shapiro-Wilk dilanjut dengan uji alternative yaitu Kruskal-Walis dan analisis Pos Hoc yaitu Uji Mann Whiteney untuk melihat adanya perbedaan yang bermakna antara kedua perlakuan buah lemon lokal dan impor. Hasil uji antibakteri dengan metode difusi didapatkan rat-rata zona hambat air perasan buah lemon lokal adalah 12.81 mm sedangkan pada buah lemon impor adalh 9.78 mm. Hasil uji dengan metode dilusi di dapatkan perbandingan KHM buah lemon lokal ada pada konsentrasi 3.125% sedangkan buah lemon impor pada konsentrasi 6.25%, KBM pada lemon lokal ada pada konsentrasi 3.125% sedangkan buah lemon impor 6.25%. Hasil uji analisis menunjukan adanya perbedaan yang bermakna pada kedua buah lemon lokal dan impor p=0.029. Pada penelitian ini menunjukan air perasan buah lemon lokal lebih baik menghambat bakteri Streptococcus pyogenes dibanding air perasan buah lemon impor.Kata kunci : Efek Antibakteri, Air perasan buah lemon lokal, Air perasan buah lemon impor, Streptococcus pyogenes. |
