Abstract. Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), is a type of virus that weakens the human immune system in the human body. Snyder said a person infected with HIV-AIDS will have difficulties and misery in his life and make the individual hopeless and have decreased psychological well-being. However, this does not appear in, an HIV community support for homosexual in bandungConversely, they can create methods and believe that they can achieve goals by accepting themselves, having positive relationships with others, being independent, contributing to environment, realizing self-potential and having a purpose in life. This study aims to examine relationship between Hope and Psychology Well Being in the HIV-AIDS community for homoseksual members, in Bandung. Respondents were 31 persons. The research method was correlational and analysed with Rank Spearman. The instrument was SHS (Snyder Hope Scale) and RPWBS (Ryff Psychological Well Being Scale). The results is there is a strong relationship between Hope and psychlogical well being (0.695), meaning that the higher the Hope, the higher the Psychological Well Being of the HIV -AIDS community for homoseksual members, in Bandung. Keywords: Hope, Psychological Well Being, ODHAAbstrak. Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), merupakan salah satu jenis virus yang melemahkan sistem kekebalan tubuh manusia. Snyder mengatakan seseorang yang terinfeksi HIV-AIDS akan mengalami kesulitan dan kesengsaraan dalam hidupnya dan membuat individu tersebut putus asa dan mengalami penurunan kesejahteraan psikologis. Namun, ini tidak muncul di, komunitas HIV untuk homoseksual di bandung. Sebaliknya, mereka dapat menciptakan metode dan percaya bahwa mencapai tujuan dengan menerima diri sendiri, memiliki hubungan yang positif dengan orang lain, mandiri, berkontribusi pada lingkungan, menyadari potensi diri dan memiliki tujuan dalam hidup. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara Hope dan Psychological Well Being pada anggota komunitas HIV -AIDS khusus homoseksual di Bandung. Responden sebanyak 31 orang. Metode penelitian korelasional dan dianalisis dengan Rank Spearman. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah SHS (Snyder Hope Scale) dan RPWBS (Ryff Psychological Well Being Scale). Hasil penelitian adalah terdapat hubungan yang kuat antara Hope dengan Psychological Well Being (0,695), artinya semakin tinggi Hope maka semakin tinggi pula Psychological Well Being pada anggota komunitas HIV -AIDS khusus homoseksual di Bandung.Kata Kunci: Hope, Psychological Well Being, ODHA. |
