Abstract. Behaviors that have good character are those that show good habits and morals. One of the components that contribute to improving character is through education. This study aims to obtain an overview of the implementation of character education at Muhammadiyah 6 elementary school, based on the perceptions of students, parents, and teachers. This research uses a quantitative approach with descriptive method. The subjects of this study were 118 people consisting of 78 students, 30 parents, and 10 teachers. The measuring instrument used is based on the Character Education theory by Lickona that is SCCP-II and the Respect & Responsibility School Culture Survey. The results show that teachers, parents and students perceive that School As Caring Community and show the value of respect and responsibility, howefer the aspects of student friendship and belonging, aspects of student shaping environment, aspects of student care by faculty, aspects of responsibility responsibility and bullying aspects still have to be developed.Keywords: Character Education, Elementary School, Muhammadiyah 6 BandungAbstrak. Perilaku yang memiliki karakter yang kuat dan baik adalah yang dapat menunjukkan kebiasaan serta moral yang baik. Salah satu komponen yang berkontribusi memperbaiki karekter yaitu melalui pendidikan. Perlu adanya konsep pendidikan karakter yang bisa menjadi pedoman dalam mewujudkan karakter. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran mengenai implementasi pendidikan karakter di SD Muhammadiyah 6 Bandung, berdasarkan persepsi siswa, orang tua, dan guru. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Subjek penelitian ini berjumlah 118 orang yang terdiri dari 78 siswa, 30 orang tua, dan 10 guru. Alat ukur yang digunakan disusun berdasarkan teori Pendidikan Karakter yang dikembangkan oleh Lickona yaitu SCCP-II dan Respect & Responsibility School Culture Survey. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru, orang tua dan siswa mempersepsi bahwa sekolah berperan sebagai komunitas yang peduli pendidikan karakter dan sekolah menunjukkan nilai menghargai dan bertanggungjawab, hanya saja pada aspek student friendship and belonging, aspek student shaping environment, aspek student care by faculty, aspek tanggung jawab dan aspek perundungan masih harus dikembangkan.Kata kunci: Pendidikan Karakter, Sekolah Dasar, SD Muhammadiyah 6 Bandung |
