Abstract. Tuberculosis (TB) is one of the top 10 causes of death and the third most infectious disease in the world. Multi-drug resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) is a health problem in the world today. Diabetes millitus (DM) is well known as a risk factor for TB / MDR-TB, and it is found that the treatment outcome is worse in MDR-TB with DM. The aim of the study was to see the relationship status of DM and treatment with MDR-TB treatment in TB with DM. This research is an observational analytic study using a cross sectional design. The data were obtained from 49 medical records of MDR-TB patients with DM in poli MDR-TB RSD Gunung Jati Kota Cirebon in 2019. The analytical test used was the Chi-square Test and Fisher's Test at a 95% confidence level. The results showed that the incidence of MDR-TB with uncontrolled DM was 86%, patients who were not adherent to MDR-TB treatment were 53%, treatment of MDR-TB patients with DM was 57%, there was no relationship between DM status and treatment in patients. MDR-TB with DM and there is a relationship between people who are confident with treatment in MDR-TB patients with DM. The conclusion is that DM status has no relationship with treatment success and treatment adherence is related to treatment success.Key words: Diabetes Militus, Multi Drug Resistant Tuberculosis (MDR-TB), DM status, MDR-TB Treatment.Abstrak. Tuberkulosis (TB) merupakan salah satu dari 10 penyebab utama kematian paling tinggi dan penyakit infeksi nomor tiga di dunia. Multi drug resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) merupakan masalah kesehatan di dunia saat ini. Diabetes millitus (DM) sudah dikenal sebagai faktor risiko TB/MDR-TB, dan ditemukan hasil pengobatan yang lebih buruk pada MDR-TB dengan DM. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui hubungan status DM dan kepatuhan berobat dengan keberhasilan pengobatan MDR-TB pada p-TB dengan DM. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analitik observasional dengan menggunakan desain potong lintang. Data di peroleh dari 49 rekam medis pasien MDR-TB dengan DM di poli MDR-TB RSD Gunung Jati Kota Cirebon tahun 2019. Uji analisis yang digunakan adalah Chi square Test dan Fisher’s Test pada tingkat kepercayaan 95%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa angka kejadian MDR-TB dengan DM tidak terkontrol sebesar 86 %, pasien yang tidak patuh berobat MDR-TB sebesar 53%, keberhasilan pengobatan pasien MDR-TB dengan DM sebesar 57%, tidak terdapat hubungan bermakna antara status DM dengan keberhasilan pengobatan pada pasien MDR-TB dengan DM dan terdapat hubungan bermakna antara kepatuhan berobat dengan keberhasilan pengobatan pada pasien MDR-TB dengan DM. Kesimpulan status DM tidak terdapat hubungan dengan keberhasilan pengobatan dan kepatuhan berobat berhubungan dengan keberhasilan pengobatan.Kata kunci: Diabetes Militus, Multi Drug Resistant Tuberculosis (MDR-TB), status DM, Pengobatan MDR-TB. |
