dc.description.abstract Functional dyspepsia is a common syndrome consisting of a disturbing and recurrent feeling of fullness after eating, early satiety, or pain/burning in the epigastrium. Functional dyspepsia can be caused by several factors, such as impaired gastric motility, gastric sensation, or inflammation of the stomach and duodenum. The purpose of this study was to determine the picture of functional dyspepsia in students of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Islam Bandung. The subjects of this study were female students of the Academic Stage of the Faculty of Medicine, Islamic University of Bandung in the 2023/2024 Academic Year with a total of 98 respondents. This study used a quantitative design with a crosssectional observational analytical method. Data were collected by administering a functional dyspepsia questionnaire based on the Nepean Dyspepsia Index which had been tested for validity and reliability. The results showed that there were six people (6.12%) who had functional dyspepsia, and the rest (93.88%) did not have functional dyspepsia. Some factors that can influence functional dyspepsia are age and body mass index. en_US
